FIFA WORLD CUP 2022
9/5/2022The FIFA World Cup is finally here after a long wait and anticipation. On the 21st
of November, the FIFA World Cup 2022 will be held in Qatar. This will be the first World Cup to be
staged in the Arab world, and the second World Cup to be held fully in Asia, following the 2002
tournament in South Korea and Japan.
Despite concerns about Qatar's capacity to handle spectators, FIFA has received 3 million ticket
requests for the World Cup final and significant demand for some of the tournament's most important
group-stage games.
According to a source, 2.5 million tickets have been requested to see Argentina play Mexico at the
80,000-seat Lusail Stadium on Nov. 26. On the other hand, 1.4 million people are expected to attend
England's match against the United States the day before at the 60,000-seat Al Bayt Stadium.
After the second phase of ticket sales, the United States, England, and Qatar have received more than 2
million ticket requests for the Nov. 21-Dec. 18 competition. For games where demand exceeds capacity, a
random selection will be conducted to distribute tickets.
